The Clovis Housing and Redevelopment Agency has received $41,212 in grant money through the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.
Funding came from HUD’s Family Self Sufficiency Program, according to a release from Sen. Jeff Bingaman, D-N.M. The program helps community housing agencies develop local strategies to help individuals and families receiving public housing assistance achieve economic independence.
“During these uncertain economic times, I’m glad this funding will be put to good use helping New Mexican families get back on their feet,” Bingaman said in the release.
Eight agencies received part of the $554,568 grant.
