Marshall “Dillon” Kennedy plans to retire as of June 30 from Eastern New Mexico University’s University printing service after 17 years, plus one year of part-time work.

Kennedy said he plans to enjoy his wife, children and grandchildren after retirement.

“Gardening, grilling and fishing at Fort Sumner Lake have been my hobbies, and I plan to keep enjoying those activities,” he added.

• Longtime Eastern athletic director and former volleyball coach Mike Maguire is set to retire on June 30, but will return to coaching Zia volleyball.

Maguire compiled 392 wins during his previous tenure as coach from 1987-2007, and was the athletic director from 2001-2009.

Robin A. Wells of the Department of Educational Studies participated in the 2010 National Leadership SpecialQuest held April 25-28 in Denver as a higher education representation, team librarian, “security” person on the red carpet and recorder of group reports.
