Clovis family loses home, possessions in fire

A local family needs assistance after losing their home near Ranchvale and belongings in a fire Sept. 25, said Clovis Municipal Schools family specialist Joe Moreno.

Moreno said James Mitchel and Kendra Colwell and their children, fifth-grader Baily Colwell, first-grader Michael Colwell and 4-year-old Anthony Colwell, need clothes, household goods, cooking utensils, pots and pans. He said the family lost everything and had no insurance on their mobile home.

Moreno said he will pick up items in Portales if people there want to donate.

Clothing needed:

• Women’s size 22 pants and XX-large shirts.

• Men’s 38-by-32 pants and XX-large shirts.

• Girls’ size 10-12 clothing and size 4 shoes.

• Boys’ size 8 clothing and size 2 shoes.

• Boys’ size 4-5 clothing and size 11 shoes.
