My turn: Halloween events unforgettable

Last week was probably one of the most fun Halloween weeks I have ever had in Clovis and Portales. Preparing the event calendars for one of our local newspapers pays off, because I now know most events happening in Clovis and Portales.

Saturday night, I checked out Mark’s House of Horror on the outskirts of Clovis and I was impressed. It was easy to see the haunted house crew had put a lot of work into their project. It was one of the better ones I have seen in this area in awhile.

Another memory from last week, which I will never forget is covering the Harry Potter party at the Portales Public Library. As another avid Harry Potter fan, I appreciated the excitement from all the children who were present.

From one Harry Potter nerd to another, I want to thank Conner Rooney for being one of the cutest Harry Potters I have ever seen. Watching his excitement that night was priceless.

To my readers who emailed me events, which I was unable to attend or mention, I am sad I missed them. But please keep them coming. I will do my best to attend or at least mention as many as possible.
