Gardner selected as Martinez chief of staff

A state legislator who represents Roosevelt County and a former representative for both Curry and Roosevelt counties are among appointed members to the executive leadership team for Gov.-Elect Susana Martinez.

Rep. Keith Gardner, R-Roswell, the Dist. 66 representative, was named chief of staff for the seven-member team.

Former Rep. Brian Moore, R-Clayton, served at the Dist. 67 representative for eight years. He will serve the team as deputy chief of staff and legislative director overseeing policy and cabinet.

Beverlee McClure, former president of Clovis Community College and Secretary of Higher Education, was named to Martinez’ 10-member government efficiency task force. McClure is currently the president and chief executive officer of the Association of Commerce and Industry.
