Empty stocking fund: Mr. and Mrs. S

Today’s focus: Mr. and Mrs. S.

Household members: 5

Children: 3

Special circumstance: Mr. S is having a hard time finding full time work, since his wife Mrs. S has cancer and needs transportation to doctor visits. They are having a hard time paying bills.

Their holiday hope: They want the best for their children this holiday season.

Clothing needs: Pants and shirts size 10 boys and shoe size 4 youth; pants and shirts size 5 boys and shoe size 1 youth; Girls, pants and shirts size 4T and shoe size 9 children’s

Toys list: Remote control cars, cars, trucks, dress up clothes for a little girl and play dishes and dolls, games and books.

Who’s helped: Around 500 families who’ve asked the Salvation Army to help make Christmas special.

Donations: Can be dropped off at the PNT, 101 E. 1st St., or mailed to P.O. Box 88, Portales, NM 88130. They can also be dropped off at the CNJ, 501 Pile St., or mailed to P.O. Box 1689, Clovis, NM 88102. Envelopes should be clearly marked “Empty Stocking Fund.” Checks must be payable to “The Salvation Army.”

Contributions will be forwarded to the Salvation Army office, 317 E. Second St., or gifts may be purchased for specific children by choosing an Angel tag off trees located at North Plains Mall and Wal-Mart in Clovis.
