Clovis MainStreet will be hosting a new Downtown Wind Festival April 30 on Main Street, according to a news release.
The event will be held in conjunction with Cannon Air Force Base’s Kite Karnival, which will be held 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Doc Stewart Park.
The main event at the festival will be the “Pedal Art-itude Rally,” which is a kinetic art sculpture race. Entrants build a vehicle made of bicycles and tricycles and ride it down a course along Main Street.
Other activities at the festival include wind-related projects, information on wind power and food vendors.
