• Of note: WT has clinched one of the South’s four berths in next week’s Lone Star Conference tournament at Bartlesville, Okla., while ENMU needs either a win tonight or an Angelo State loss at home to division champion Tarleton State to get in. Either team could be the second, third or fourth seed from the South. … Buffs coach Rick Cooper posted his 500th college victory on Wednesday. He is 348-170 in 18 years at WT, and went 152-47 in six years before that at Wayland Baptist. … The Buffs, who have reached 20 wins for the first time since 2007-08, are 7-3 on the road this season. Hall ranks fourth in NCAA Division II in FT percentage (92 percent), while 6-1 junior G Lionel Foster ranks first in the LSC and 17th in Division II in assists (5.8 apg). … The Buffs have wins over each of the top two teams in both divisions of the LSC.
