A little help from friends

Eastern New Mexico….fifth-grader Linda Mariana of Napa, Calif., needs your help to complete a school project.

She’s putting together a PowerPoint report on New Mexico and needs pamphlets, postcards, souvenirs and the like from the region. A nice letter couldn’t hurt either.

Children in kindergarten through sixth-grade can watch the movie “Legend of the Guardians:

The Owls of Ga’Hoole,” rated PG, at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday at Portales Public Library. Admission is free.
