ENMU mens’ rodeo team finishes sixth at Ranger College Rodeo

RANGER, Texas — Freshman Logan Medlin helped the Eastern New Mexico University men’s team to a sixth-place finished this past weekend at the Ranger College Rodeo.

Medlin, from Tatum, teamed with R.H. Whitten of New Mexico Junior College to take second in the first-go with a time of 6.7 seconds, and won the short-go at 6.6 seconds for a total time of 13.3 seconds.

For the ENMU women, senior Kaylynn Johnson of Fort Sumner placed fifth in barrel racing with an average of 33.42 seconds, taking fourth in the first-go and fifth in the short-go. Sophomore Sorrell Huntington of Aztec split fifth and sixth in goat tying with an average of 17.3 seconds, taking sixth in the first-go and splitting fourth and fifth in the short go.

Freshman TiAda Gray of Tatum made th short round in calf roping with a time of 3.1 seconds.

ENMU squads travel to Odessa, Texas, for the Odessa College Rodeo on March 24-26.
