March 20 — Police blotter

Samplings of recent calls to Portales law enforcement, according to police records:

Tuesday

• About 12:30 p.m., an officer was told of a 14-year-old girl and a 15-year-old girl fighting at Portales High School. Both girls were to be charged with public affray.

• An officer was sent to the 1000 block of West Fir for a report of criminal damage to a vehicle.

A 25-year-old man told the officer someone broke the back window and driver-side mirror of his vehicle between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. while the vehicle was parked in the alley behind his workplace in the 100 block of First Street. The man said company vehicles had been damaged that way in the past, and he didn’t know who would damage his vehicle.

The case is inactive due to lack of suspects and evidence.
