May 29 — Police blotter

Samplings of recent calls to Portales law enforcement, according to police records:

• An officer was sent to the city skate park about 8:20 p.m. in reference to a report of a broken car window.

A 17-year-old boy said his Eclipse was parked in front of the skate park gate while he was in the park with his friends. He said he heard a smashing sound and his friend told him his window just broke.

The boy said about three vehicles were parked on the southeast side of the parking lot and left after the window was broken. He didn’t know who the people in the vehicles were, but thought they looked like older high school students.

The officer found a rock next to the Eclipse. After questioning the other youth at the skate park, he couldn’t locate anyone who saw the window broken or who knew the people in the vehicles that left.
