My turn: Always aiming for good time

I discovered Tuesday night that my aim with my .380 gun is still horrible because I have had very little shooting time with it.

So, the adventures of learning how to shoot continue but with a new resolution in mind: I am now determined to go to the shooting range a minimum of once a week.

Call me crazy but this may turn out to be one of my favorite pastimes. I plan to go shooting again this weekend, so we’ll see if my aim improves at all.

Another event I’ll be going to this weekend is Heritage Days which will be held all day Saturday at City Park and includes a parade, music, games, vendors and more. The event is free and open to the public, so definitely get out there and have fun. I get to enjoy the excitement and write about it.

There are many more events this weekend, including the start of the Clovis farmers’ market, a soap box derby and the Sizzlin’ Summer Celebration, all held Saturday in Clovis.

And don’t forget about the Elida Flea Market, which will run all day Saturday in Elida.
