County receives emergency grant money

Roosevelt County has been allotted $5,335 in Federal Emergency Management Agency money for non-disaster-related emergency food and shelter programs, according to a news release from the office of U.S. Sen. Tom Udall, D-N.M.

The state government and 24 counties are to receive a total of $544,745 for the programs, according to the release. Curry County is to receive $11,448, and $3,441 is earmarked for Quay County.
