Good morning and welcome to the Freedom New Mexico Wednesday briefing.
Meet the author
Portales’ award-winning writer of paranormal romances, Darynda Jones, is scheduled to speak at the Friends of the Portales Public Library meeting at noon Sept. 1 at the library.
The meeting is a brown bag lunch and open to the public.
While Jones’ books are for adults, her library presentation will be appropriate for all ages.
She will read a passage from one of her books, talk about how she came up with ideas and discuss the writing and publishing process.
Thursday is Norman and Vi Petty Rock & Roll Museum Clean Up Day.
It’s from 2-5 p.m. at the museum.
