Monday morning briefing: Meetings watch, calling kid singers and ugly mermaids

Good morning and welcome to the Freedom New Mexico Monday briefing.

Meetings watch

The Curry County Commission meets 9 a.m. Tuesday at the Clovis-Carver Public Library north annex room.

Tops on the agenda are hiring a new jail administrator and considering ways to finance a new jail.

Meetings are open to the public.

Kid singers call

Registration for the Eastern New Mexico Children’s Choir will be Tuesday in the lobby of the Music Building at Eastern New Mexico University in Portales.

All third through eighth graders are invited.

This semester the children’s choir will perform with ENMU’s choirs and an individual concert of their own.
