New Mexico Sen. Jeff Bingaman says La Casa de Buena Salud in Portales has been awarded a $342,095 grant from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services to help deliver health care services to the community.

Cowgirls call

The Cowgirls Rodeo Association Winter Series is Saturday at the new Roosevelt County Event Center with books opening at 4 p.m., expos starting at 4:30 p.m., and the Barrel Race starting at 7 p.m..
