I was reminiscent of a 10-year-old child last weekend as I screamed and jumped up and down at a Brad Paisley concert in Lubbock, which also happened to be my first big concert with a music superstar.
It was well worth the trip and the money to see him live, despite my envy of the front row seat crowd, who had his hat thrown to them.
I also got to experience the Science Spectrum in Lubbock last weekend and it was well worth it. I went for my nephew’s eighth birthday and I couldn’t believe the attention span my hyperactive nephew had for reading every little tiny plaque explaining the science behind the objects. I was exhausted by the end of it, but it was definitely a great weekend.
Entertainment for next weekend includes Portales High School students performing “My Fair Lady” March 2 through March 4 for a cost of $5 per ticket. It’s a great play, so I recommend checking it out. But for those of you who have seen the 1964 film adaptation with Rex Harrison and Audrey Hepburn, fair warning, the actual play doesn’t have the same warm, fuzzy ending.
