Miller-Boone

Michael and Julie Miller of Portales announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter, Michelle Miller of Abilene, to Patrick Henry "Cinco" Boone V of Abilene, son of Pat and Cindy Boone of Elida. The couple will exchange vows at 5 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 11, at the Elida Square. The reception will be held immediately following on the square.

The bride-elect is a 2009 graduate of Eastern New Mexico University with a Bachelor of Science degree in communications with emphasis in public relations. She is employed by Hendrick Medical Center in Abilene as the director of the learning center and education in the Cancer Center.

The prospective groom is a 2005 graduate of Eastern New Mexico University with a Bachelor of Science degree in mathematics and a 2007 graduate of Hardin Simmons University with a Master of Sports Recreation and Management. He is an associate head basketball coach at McMurry University in Abilene. The couple will reside in Abilene.

Invitations have been sent and all family and friends are invited and encouraged to attend.

Hukill-Marini

Virgil and Amy Hukill of Clovis announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter, Heather Hukill of Clovis, to Adam Marini of Clovis, son of Joe and Sue Marini of Palmer, Mass.

The couple will exchange vows at 6 p.m. Aug. 4 at Sunken Gardens in Clovis. The reception will be at Sandia Baptist Church.

The bride-elect is a 2008 graduate of House School. The prospective groom is a 2008 graduate of Palmer High School. He is employed at Cannon Air Force Base.

Rush-Cook

Rex and Kathy Rush of Melrose announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter, Landrii Jonell Rush of Amarillo, to Robert Wayne Cook of Vega, Texas, son of Jason and Charlotte Cook of Vega.

The couple will exchange vows at 7:30 p.m. Sept. 1 at Country Home Weddings in Canyon. The reception will follow the ceremony at the same location.

The bride-elect is a 2005 graduate of Eastern New Mexico University with a bachelor's degree in finance and economics and a 2008 graduate of West Texas A&M University with a master's degree in business administration. She is employed at American Star Energy and Minerals Corporation.

The prospective groom is an Angelo State University graduate, receiving a bachelor's degree in animal science in 2002 and a master's degree in range and wildlife management in 2004. He is employed as a range management specialist for the Natural Resources Conservation Service.

The ceremony and reception are open to friends and relatives.
