Hounds fall 2-0 at No. 9 Incarnate

SAN ANTONIO — The Eastern New Mexico University men's soccer team isn't acting like the only unranked squad in the four-team Lone Star Conference.

The Greyhounds pushed ninth-ranked Incarnate Word for the second time this season, falling to the Cardinals 2-0 when UIW broke through for two goals in the final 12 minutes.

ENMU (10-6-1, 1-3-1 LSC) closes its season on Sunday at Midwestern State (9-2-5, 1-2-2).

Vincent Bailey broke the ice at the 78:27 mark with his 15th goal of the season, and tmmate Josh Ferona added an insurance goal less than 3 1/2 minutes later.

The Cardinals (12-3-1, 5-0-1), who clinched the LSC championship last week, dominated much of the statistical end of things, outshooting the Hounds 23-2 (6-1 on goal) and posting an 8-2 advantage in corner kicks.
