The U.S. Postal Service said in a release Monday that all offices in the area should be open throughout the blizzard, but inclement weather could delay deliveries.
Customers are asked to clear their mailbox area of snow, sleet, slush, ice and debris. Letter carriers are instructed to not deliver to mailboxes and locations that are hazardous to access.
If customers are in areas where roads are closed by local emergency officials, delivery may be curtailed, and mail can be picked up at the respective Post Office. Individual post offices may be closed if there is a power outage or if road conditions do not allow access.
