Senate Minority Leader Stuart Ingle, R-Portales, and Sen. Pat Woods, R-Broadview, have each been appointed as a voting member for three interim state legislative committees.
Ingle, whose District 27 includes Portales, Fort Sumner and portions of Chaves, Curry, De Baca, Lea and Roosevelt counties, was appointed to the Legislative Council, the Mortgage Finance Authority Oversight Committee and the Drought Subcommittee.
He was appointed as an advisory member for numerous other committees, including the Legislative Finance Committee.
When the Legislature is in session, Ingle serves on Senate Rules, Indian and Cultural Affairs and the Committees' Committee.
Woods, whose District 7 includes Union, Curry and Quay counties, was appointed as a voting member to the Economic and Rural Development Committee, the Water and Natural Resources Committee and the Drought Subcommittee.
He was also appointed as an advisory member to the Legislative Education Study Committee, Public School Capital Outlay Oversight Task Force and Revenue Stabilization and Tax Policy Committee.
When the Legislature is in session, Woods is a member of the Senate Conservation Committee and the Senate Education Committee.
