Area road construction and closure information for this week:

City of Clovis

The Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard project from 21st Street to Llano Estacado is scheduled to last until May 2014. The project consists of sewer improvements, drainage improvements, curb and gutter, through lanes, two way left turn lane, bike lanes and sidewalks.

The first phase of the project will be the installation of a sewer line underneath the intersection of MLK and 21st Street. North/South traffic on MLK will be closed from the main PRMC entrance to approximately 300 feet south of the intersection. Primary access to the hospital during all construction phases of the project will be on 21st Street.

Curry County

Curry County Road Department will be hauling and laying caliche on Curry Road D from N.M. 523 to Curry Road 14 and Curry Road E from Curry Road 10 to N.M. 523.

Curry County Road Department is still shredding bar ditches around the county and patching pot holes.

State and Federal

Roosevelt County Road Department is working on SRR 6 from SSR L to SRR N; preparing the sub-grade for caliche base.

Roosevelt County Road Department is also shredding vegetation in bar ditches and doing routine maintenance throughout the county on a continual basis.
