Area road construction and closure information for this week:


Traffic has moved to the outside or south lane of U.S. 70. With this move, traffic is able to access Avenue A, Main Street, and Abilene off of Second Street. Access to the courthouse square and businesses on Avenue A and Main Street will be available off of First Street. Expect some congestion.

Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard Roadway Construction Project: The intersection of Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and 21st Street. North/South traffic on MLK is closed from the main PRMC entrance to approximately 300’ south of the intersection. Primary access to the hospital during all construction phases of the project is on 21st Street.

Curry County

Signal Energy is working on Curry Road 34 just west of N.M. 209 to Curry Road Q.

Curry County Road Department will be installing culverts at Curry Road 10 and Curry Road C.

Curry County Road Department is still shredding bar ditches and pot hole patching around the county.
