My Turn: Superhero TV shows entertaining, addicting

It’s not just movies and comic books anymore. I now have television shows to satisfy my love of super heroes, which could be a good thing or a bad thing.

Two of my three regular TV shows are Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and Arrow.

As most who have seen Marvel super hero movies, S.H.I.E.L.D. is the organization that tracks those with super hero abilities. The show based on this organization is about just that. A team of agents travels around the world, monitoring and helping those with different types of super natural abilities.

The show is intriguing not just for the team’s adventures but to see how the characters develop and change as they try to do their jobs while still having compassion.

Arrow, based off a comic series, is a show about a vigilante, who is trying to destroy the corruption in Starling City, his home town.

The show goes beyond entertaining to being addictive with its non-stop action as The Arrow fights crime and the continuous back story is told of his alter ego, wealthy Oliver Queen, who was stranded on an island for five years.

Both shows are worth giving a chance if you like super heroes, vigilantes or just good action and drama shows.
