ENMU tracksters set six records

ALAMOSA, Colo. — Beginning the program’s second season of indoor track, Eastern New Mexico University athletes combined for six school records — five by the women — in Adams State’s Early Grizzly Open on Saturday.

Zias marks included freshman Dominique Zamora, 10th place in the 60-meter dash in 8.56 seconds; junior Sabrina Huelga, sixth in the 3,000 in 10 minutes, 49.95 seconds; junior Kris-Ann Walters, second in triple jump at 37 feet, 1 inch; Jenae Wolfram, fifth in shot put at 38 feet, and junior Breanna Pendleton, fourth in weight throw at 48-2 3/4.

The men’s record was posted by sophomore Michael Moore, who went 6-6 in high jump to earn second place.

The next outing for the Hounds and Zias will be in the Texas Tech Open on Jan. 17.
