Zia soccer coach resigns for position in Colorado

Todd Padgett has stepped down as women’s soccer coach at Eastern New Mexico after three seasons at take a job as men’s coach at Colorado Mesa, according to an ENMU press release.

A three-time all-state player at Sandia High School, Padgett compiled 17 wins over his three seasons at Eastern, including a 4-8-5 mark last season. He guided the team to a third-place finish in the Lone Star Conference in his first season.

A nationwide search has been opened to fill the position, according to the school.

Colorado Mesa is a Division II school in Grand Junction, Colo., and plays in the Rocky Mountain Conference.
