Clovis tabs Robinson for coaching vacancy

Staff report
CLOVIS — Longtime Clovis High assistant coach Scott Robinson was named Thursday to replace Matt King as the Wildcats’ basketball coach.

Robinson, 44, a 1987 Clovis grad, had spent the past 13 years as an assistant, including serving as assistant head coach since 2007.

King, who posted a 54-32 mark in three seasons at CHS, resigned his position last month to become the head coach at Sandra Day O’Connor H.S. in Glendale, Ariz.
