Former Clovis resident dies from injuries

A 19-year old Amarillo woman died Thursday night from injuries suffered after she jumped from a moving vehicle the previous morning, according to the Amarillo Police Department.

Florinda Marez, formerly of Clovis, jumped from a vehicle that was westbound on Linberg Street about 4 a.m. (CDT) Wednesday, according to a release.

Marez was a passenger in the vehicle driven by Jabarel Trevel Mills, 21, of Amarillo, police said. There were no other passengers in the vehicle, and the two were involved in a dispute prior to the incident.

The incident remains under investigation.
