The American Red Cross is looking for heroes.
GaleAnn Landrum, the community relations manager for Southeastern New Mexico, said the service agency will present up to 12 awards at a breakfast banquet scheduled Oct. 29 at the Clovis Civic Center.
“The purpose is to honor individuals who have gone above and beyond and done something extraordinary (to help someone),” Landrum said.
The Heroes Award is already established across other areas of New Mexico, but this will be the first time to honor those from Curry and Roosevelt counties.
Landrum said a nominating committee will select winners from nomination forms.
To nominate someone, email:
or call the Clovis Red Cross office, located in the Matt 25 building, at 575-763-4400.
Nominations will be accepted through Sept. 12. Landrum said heroic actions from the past 12 months are “ideal” for recognition, but the nominating committee will consider all submissions.
