Ryan Williams of Farwell was recognized by Bayer CropScience for producing more than 2,000 pounds of lint cotton per acre with its cotton seed, according to a Bayer news release.

Williams was one of 78 growers honored for achieving one-ton yields on at least 20 acres in Texas and Arizona, the release reads. His qualifying field yield was 2,008 pounds per acre.

The growers were recognized at an awards banquet in Lubbock.
