Selected calls to the Portales dispatch from Dec. 19 through Dec. 23:

Dec. 19:

• 2:56 a.m., A caller in the 500 block of East 15th Street reported someone had stolen her laptop.

• 2:48 p.m., A caller east of Floyd reported stolen hay.

• 10:13 p.m., A caller in the 2100 block of South I Place reported five or six males in hooded sweat shirts running up and down her alley. She said they ran when she went outside.

 

Dec. 20:

• 1:37 p.m., A caller in the 1700 block of Bingnam Statum reported hearing someone trying to get into the house. The caller reported being disabled and unable to go to the door.

• 3:31 p.m., A caller in the 1400 block of North Main reported boys throwing firecrackers in a yard.

• 8:59 p.m., A caller in the 300 block of North Chicago reported someone came up to him and punched him.

 

Dec. 21:

• 8:30 a.m., A caller in the 1700 block of Roosevelt Road 2 Lane reported a loose bulldog and being afraid to go to the car to go to work.

• 9:29 a.m., A caller reported seeing a smoking car on the northbound side of U.S. 70 before N.M. 202.

• 5:12 p.m., A caller in the 1800 block of Loma Vista reported a rental house had been abandoned, but a Doberman pinscher was still there.

• 10:40 p.m., A caller in the 1600 block of South Avenue D reported a fight.

 

Dec. 22:

• 12:50 p.m., A caller reported people were smoking marijuana in an apartment in the 1900 block of South Avenue I. The caller said a small child was also in the apartment.

• 1:19 p.m., A caller in the 1800 block of South Roosevelt Road 7 reported she was behind a truck when a calf fell off. The truck driver didn’t pick up the calf, so the caller took it home.

• 1:48 p.m., A caller reported turkeys in the road near South Roosevelt roads 3 and S.

• 4:33 p.m., A caller at Abilene and Ninth streets reported a 4-year-old boy standing by the street crying with no one nearby.

 

Dec. 23:

• 10:38 a.m., A caller in the 500 block of West 18th Street reported an employee was fighting in the parking lot and one subject had a knife. The caller said other employees were trying to break up the fight.
