Gilmore

Wesley Gilmore, a recent graduate of Elida High School was among 45 New Mexico high school seniors selected as Robert C. Byrd Scholars for the 2008-2009 academic year, according to a news release from the New Mexico Public Education Department.

The students receive $1,500 annual scholarships for up to four years toward university expenses anywhere in the U.S.

The students were selected from 195 applicants based on academic achievement and college test scores.
