Track Season Opens

The work students have been doing to get ready for track and field events should pay off Thursday when they face their first competition in Texico. Coaches have had their team members practicing various events, and students report that each event works different muscles.

Family Learning Event

Teachers welcome students and their parents at from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday.  All will participate in some activity relating to each teacher’s curriculum.  Comments from parents  have indicated that it was a fun way to stay in touch with the subjects their children are learning.

Testing Schedules

Students completed their third quarter tests last week and will be enjoying the introductions to the curriculum for their final quarter this year.  Next week they take the state mandated NMSBA tests.  Principal Steve Harris reminds parents that their children need a good night’s rest and a good breakfast to help their minds perform at best.

Spring Break Approaches

Assistant Principal Glenda Meeks reminds families to plan on spring break a week later this year.  School will dismiss at regular time March 27.
