Buddy and Cheryl Hinshaw of Snyder, Texas, and Aquilla and Sheree Fleetwood of Johnson City, Texas, announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter, Courtney LeAnn Fleetwood to Timothy James (T.J.) Cathey, son of Bill and Joeli Cathey of Dora and Patricia Gubbs of Sanderson, Texas.
The couple will exchange vows Oct. 10, 2009, at First Baptist Church in Portales.
A reception will follow.
The bride-elect is a 2000 graduate of Jal High School and will be graduating in August from Texas Tech University.
The prospective groom is 2003 graduate of Dora High School and is currently enrolled in a paramedic program through Clovis Community College and the University of New Mexico.
He is employed by the Portales Fire Department.

Jeff and Diane Queener of Texico announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter, Lacy Price of Texico, to Wade Plummer of Floyd, son of Renee Haught and Bill Plummer of Arizona.
The couple will exchange vows at 6 p.m. June 20 at The Rose Garden on State Rd. 77.

She is a full-time student at Eastern New Mexico University.
He is employed at BNSF Railroad.
