Texico wins after strong winds cut game

Comments 0 | Recommend 0

Seth Bailey hit a two-out, two-run walkoff homer, and the Texico Wolverines got a wind-shortened 12-10 victory over Tucumcari Monday afternoon.

Texico (4-1-1) trailed 10-9 entering the fifth — the final inning of play, due to abnormally high winds. But Warren Faircloth singled and stole second for the Wolverines. Brett Anderson drove him in with a single, and scored on Bailey’s homer.

Lucas Walthers was 2-for-3 with a homer for the Wolverines.
