ValueOptions New Mexico plans to present a $53,868 donation Wednesday to Mental Health Resources of Clovis.
The event is set for 2 p.m. at 1100 W. 21st Street.
The donation will be for a Supported Employment Assistance Program to secure and maintain employment for Curry County residents with mental illness.
Scheduled to attend are Alys Wilmot, New Mexico Region 4 Director for ValueOptions New Mexico, State Sen. Clint Harden, R-Clovis, State Rep. Anna Crook, R-Clovis, Roosevelt County Commissioner Dennis Lopez and Mental Health Resources, Inc. staff.
CIDC, Chamber of Commerce win awards
Two Clovis organizations received awards in an Economic Development Forum April 23 at Truth or Consequences, according to a release from New Mexico Rural Alliance.
The Clovis Industrial Development Corp. received the Technology Based and Electronic Award for its Web site to promote business development in Clovis. The address is www.developclovis.com.
The Clovis/Curry County Chamber of Commerce received the Special Event Promotions award for its work promoting the Clovis Music Festival.
The “Clovis Rock” marketing campaign included posters, flyers, T-shirts and giveaways.
