Clovis Community College hosting variety show

Clovis Community College will host the High Plains Chorale Variety Show Sunday at the campus’ Town Hall building.

The free concert is set for 2:30 p.m.

More than 30 singers from throughout the community will perform contemporary tunes, African American spirituals, and classics from such writers as Stephen Foster and George and Ira Gershwin.

Selections include Wind Beneath My Wings and Summer Nights (from Grease), the jazz standards Bill Bailey, Won’t You Please Come Home and Bye Bye Blues, and African American spirituals Deep River, I Got Shoes, and Get on Board.
