The Eastern New Mexico Wind Symphony will hold its first concert of the year at 3 p.m. Sunday in the Campus Union Ballroom.
Pieces to be played include “Valdres” by Johannes Hanssen, “Cheetah” by Karel Husa, “La Fiesta Mexicana” by H. Owen Reed and “Molly On the Shore” by Percy Grainger.
One of the conductors, Dustin Seifert, said the students will be prepared.
“It’s taking a good bit of prep,” Seifert said. “It’s a very challenging concert for the first one of the year.”
Seifert said attendees will be offered a broad range of music.
The event is free and open to the public.
