Dodd

Alan and Pat Dodd of Portales celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Oct. 8 in the conference room at Kiva Realty.

The celebration was hosted by their children and grandchildren, attended by family and home and church friends. There was a diner, special singing, slide show, videos and great fellowship. They had family come in from Colorado, Texas and Iowa.

The couple was married Oct. 8, 1961, in Albuqueruqe.

They have four children, eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

He is retired from Portales Municipal Schools.

She is retired form Eeastern New Mexico University.

Rupe

Orbin “Bud” and Dorothy Rupe of Webb City, Mo. will celebrate the 50th wedding anniversary Nov. 26 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at College Heights Christian Church in Joplin, Mo.

The celebration will be hosted by their three sons, Dean Miner (fiancee Colleen Richardson) of Ontario, Calif.; Keith Gibbons (Sharna) of Odessa, Texas; Marvin Rupe (Jolene) of Manhattan Kan.; four grandchildren; Brenna Gibbons, Aaron Gibbons, Austin Rupe and Kylie Rupe, one great-grandson, Ethan Gibbons. The couple was married November 22, 1961, in Portales.

They have three children, four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

She is retired from Sears.
