Diego Santos, Eastern New Mexico, Jr., MF, Natal, RN, Brazil — Santos had game-winning goals against Texas-Permian Basin and Northeastern State last week and added an assist against NSU in the Greyhounds’ second all-time win at Tahlequah, Okla.

Defense

Noah Fazekas, Midwestern State, Fr., GK, Dallas — Playing just his fourth career match, came in to relieve injured starter Michael Wood, facing eight shots in a 3-0 win over the Cardinals. He then earned his first career shutout on Sunday against St. Edward’s.

ENMU nominee

Matt Malak, Fr., GK, doncaster England — Picked up two wins last week to break the school’s single-season mark for wins by a goalkeeper. He made a total of five saves.

Offense

Kelsey Hill, Midwestern State, Sr., F, Wichita Falls, Texas — Hill had two goals and two assists as the Mustangs beat Texas A&M-Commerce and Texas Woman’s. She holds the school’s career record for goals (69) and points (105).

ENMU nominee

Andrea Elizondo, Jr., MF, El Paso — Scored the first goal of the match in a 4-1 win over Incarnate Word that clinched an LSC tournament berth for the Zias. She also had her first assist of the season later in the match.

Defense

Hanna Staley, Midwestern State, Jr., D, Austin, Texas — Staley anchoired a stingy back line which limited the Mustangs’ three opponents to 22 shots in shutouts of Texas A&M-Commerce and Texas Woman’s.

ENMU nominee

Renee Romero, Fr., D, Albuquerque — Helped the Zias hold Incarnate Word and Angelo State to 29 shots, including eight on goal, and one goal.

Goalkeeper

Sierra Cardenas, Eastern New Mexico, Sr., GK, Wheat Ridge, Colo. — Cardenas had six saves and allowed no goals while playing most of the way in 4-1 and 1-0 wins over Incarnate Word and Angelo State, respectively. She broke her own school record of five shutouts, set in 2009, with her sixth in the win over ASU, and has gone more than 350 minutes without giving up a goal.
