Students of Clovis Community College’s Broadway-style singing class are putting on a performance Monday night.
The show will include performances from Broadway hits such as Guys and Dolls, Bye Bye Birdie, Grease, Oklahoma!, Chicago and more.
Beginning at 7 p.m. in the Town Hall at CCC, on stage performances make up more than an hour of energetic and nostalgic musical numbers complete with costumes and sets.
Student’s will belt out songs while performing lively dance and stage routines such as Chicago’s “Roxie”, sung by Ryen D’nae Berry, “The Rainbow Connection” from the Muppet Movie, sung by Atom J. Gutierrez and group performances of “Greased Lightning” by an energetic all-male group performing a garage scene, clad in blue jeans and white T-shirts.
CCC spokeswoman Stephanie Spencer said this is the third time the class has been taught at CCC by instructor Caleb Brandon. The student’s performance, which serves as their class final always draws a big crowd, she said.
Admission to the performance is free.
