Homecoming Changed
The date for Homecoming week has been changed to Sept. 20-25. The football game is set for 2 p.m. Sept. 25 against Texas A&M-Commerce.
Employee and alumni briefs
• Donald C. Elder III, professor of history, has been named by Gov. Bill Richardson to the New Mexico Museum of Space History Commission. This group advises the New Mexico Museum of Space History in Alamogordo. Elder’s term will begin with the commission’s meeting Friday in Alamogordo. He was recommended by President Steven Gamble.
• ENMU Professor of Special Education Michael F. Shaughnessy and Winston Morris of Tennessee Tech had a paper accepted for publication in “Problems in Music Pedagogy,” published in Latvia.
• Shaughnessy has been asked to speak at the 2010 Summer Institute on Gifted Education to be held in Albuquerque at the Embassy Suites Hotel on July 29.
Memorial Service
A memorial service will be held for former Eastern employee Lynne Wall at 11 a.m. Friday at the family home at 149 N.M. 267.
Book signing postponed until May 3
The book signing by ENMU graduate Jesse K. Davis of his new novel, “2012 — The Fifth Ring — Redemption,” has been rescheduled for 8-10 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday at the ENMU Bookstore.
