Occupation: Executive Director of the Eastern New Mexico University Foundation

Background: Bartl was studied at ENMU and moved back to Portales from Wisconsin in June 2000 with her husband.

Volunteer work: Bartl is active in Portales Rotary Club, where she volunteers in the community. Last year, she worked with Habitat for Humanity and helped Portales schools promote bond issues. This year, she assists with the Portales Public School Budget Committee. Bartl is also involved in the Portales Women’s Club.

Why she does it: Bartl said she has two daughters and she wanted Portales to be special and a good, positive community for children to grow in.
