Good morning, and welcome to the Freedom New Mexico morning briefing. Wednesday's weather is much like the rest of the week ... dry and windy, with plenty of sun. Highs are in the 70s.

The Eastern New Mexico University Jack Williamson Science Fiction Lectureship, scheduled for Thursday and Friday, is in its 34th consecutive year.
Also, the Jack Williamson Science Fiction Library contains more than 30,000 volumes, according to the ENMU Web site. Many items were donated from the personal collection of the late Williamson, who graduated from and taught at ENMU.

TV recommendation
Staff writer Kevin Wilson drops in TV recommendations every so often: For tonight, it’s “Mythbusters,” set for a 7 p.m. showing on Discovery. It’s “spy versus spy” as Adam and Jamie investigate the best way to lose a tail in Spy Car Escape. In Vector Vengeance, Kari, Grant and Tory take their myth from a fascinating physics “thought experiment.”
