Emergency responders are working a fatal industrial accident north of St. Vrain.

State police Capt. Jimmy Glascock said officers are en route to the scene.

According to emergency radio traffic, a road worker was run over by a chip spreader shortly after 12:30 p.m.

A medical investigator and chaplain have also been dispatched to the scene.

A spokesman for the Curry County Road Department said there were no county crews working in the area today.
