High school registration set
Registration for 2009-10 high school classes will be held this week from 9 a.m. until noon; and 1p.m. to 3 p.m. in the school office. Dora students who will be in grades 11 and 12 this year will register Monday or Tuesday, July 27-28. Students who will enter grades nine or 10 will register on Wednesday or Thursday, July 29-30.
Class schedules were mailed out to students entering grades seven through 12, showing elective choices. High school students are to circle their chosen electives, have their parent sign the schedule, and bring it to registration on the assigned days. Junior high students do not have to attend registration, but must bring their signed schedules on or before the first day of school.
Parents of students new to Dora High School who wish to enroll, may call David Bass, Principal, at 477-2211, to schedule a visit. Please have your child's birth certificate, shot record, and former school information ready to bring with you.
Child find scheduled
Patty Mohon, Early Childhood teacher, has scheduled this year's Child Find for Friday morning, Aug. 7. Parents may bring their children (infants to Kindergarten age) to the Dora Preschool building for screening. The Preschool building is located just southwest of the high school. Please remember to bring birth certificate and shot records for each child attending. Child Find will begin at 8:30 a.m. and end at 11:30 a.m.
Sports physical required for athletes
Principal Bass reminds students who wish to practice and participate in athletics for the 2009-2010 year, they need to remember to have a current sports physical. Forms are available in the school office. You must also have proof of current insurance coverage.
