In order to lay sewer line connecting Sunland Inc. to the City of Portales sewer system, contractors plan to detour traffic on Kilgore Avenue at the intersection with U.S. 70 July 21-22, according to a city news release.
Kilgore will be closed between U.S. 70 and East Spruce Street with traffic rerouted to East Spruce or Roosevelt Roads 4 and P as needed, according to the release. City Community Affairs Coordinator Nicole Wilkening said the detour would take only a short time.
