Portales Municipal Schools back to school schedule for 2009-2010:

Students may register at their respective schools beginning Aug. 4, between the hours of 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

• First day of school is Aug. 18 for grades 2-12.

• Kindergarten and first grade classes will commence Aug. 25.

• Open house for grades K-12 is slated for Aug. 17, from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

• Pre-school classes begin Sept. 1.

• Kindergarten will have scheduled meetings with parents on Aug. 18-20.

• Portales Junior high schedules can be picked up on Aug. 17, from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Portales High School schedule:

• Seniors may pick up schedules on Aug. 5, from 8 am. to 11:30 a.m.

• Juniors may pick up schedules on Aug. 6, from 8 am. to 11:30 a.m.

• Sophomores may pick up schedules on Aug. 7, from 8 am. to 11:30 a.m.

• Freshmen may pick up schedules on Aug. 12, at 6 p.m. in the PHS Performance Arts Center.
