Jennie Hutt, Abilene Christian, Fr. OH, Papillion, Neb. — Hutt helped the Wildcats split a pair of LSC matches, posting double-doubles in both outings. She had 18 kills and 12 digs in a loss to Texas A&M-Commerce and 16 and 14, respectively, in a win over Texas Woman’s.
Laura Prinsen, West Texas A&M, Jr. OH, Spring, Texas — Prinsen had 46 kills in three matches, also contributing two aces, 32 digs and five block assists. She tied a career high with 27 kills in a loss to Lubbock Christian.
ENMU nominee
Veronica Valdez, So. OH, Canyon, Texas — Collected 14 kills and 11 digs in her only outing of the week, a loss at Central Oklahoma.
Defense
Lauren Flynn, Texas A&M-Commerce, Jr. L, Deer Park, Texas — Flynn had 63 digs in two matches, including 36 in a win over Angelo State. It was her third match of the season with 30 digs.
Shay Velasquez, Midwestern State, Sr. L, Amarillo — Velasquez had 27 digs each in wins over Texas A&M-Kingsville and Tarleton State. Earlier this month, she became the second player in LSC history to record 2000, career digs.
ENMU nominee
Caitlin Murphy, Jr. L, Amarillo — Had 43 digs in two LSC matches, highlighted by a 33-dig effort in a 3-1 loss at Central Oklahoma.
Setter
Katie Rickwartz, West Texas A&M, Jr. S, Canyon, Texas — Rickwartz had 119 assists in the Lady Buffs’ three matches while also contributing 10 kills. She had 52 kills in the loss to LCU.
Jessica Crow, Texas Woman’s, Jr. S, Longview, Texas — Crow totaled a season-high 47 assists along with 15 digs and one block assist in a win over Angelo State. She added 38 assists, five kills and 10 digs against Abilene Christian, and is currently on a streak of six double-doubles.
ENMU nominee
Karen McIntyre, So. S, Houston — Provided 33 assists and 17 digs in the loss to Central Oklahoma.
